GNU Free Documentation License Should the other 49 states now start a class action lawsuit against the state of Louisiana? Q. I'm wondering if the other 49 states in the Union should start a class action lawsuit against Louisiana. A judge just ruled in favor of the "victims" of Katrina. Those are people who knowingly live in a city which is below sea level. The judge ruled the United States Army Corps Of Engineers failed to maintain the shipping lanes, and levies to New Orleans, and that caused the flooding when Hurricane Katrina hit. We The People (the taxpayers) pay for the United States Army Corps Of Engineers with our Federal Tax dollars. It is predicted that the lawsuit is going to cost the U.S. Government (that actually means We The Taxpayer, in the end) 100 billion dollars. That is Billion with a "B." Now I live in Washington state. The worst… [cont.] Asked by Bohemian_Garnet_Permaculturalist - Fri Nov 20 00:40:23 2009 - - 5 Answers - 1 Comments A. My. During the past five years, the United States and many other donor nations pledged billions of dollars to Afghanistan, yet Afghans keep asking: "Where did the money go?" American taxpayers should be asking the same question. Last year, for example, when the president sent his wife to Kabul for the New York Times, they reported that her mission was "to promise long-term commitment from the United States to education for women and children." she pledged that the United States would give an additional $17.7 million to support education in Afghanistan. But that grant had been announced before; and it was not for Afghan education (or women and children) at all but for a new private, for-profit American University of Afghanistan. (How a private… [cont.] Asked by Holly - Fri Sep 8 12:17:09 2006 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Same place it always goes. Waste. How many worthless endevors do we pay for both in country and out? Our US Milatary is in so many places we should not be - and before you guys jump up and say we should be in Iraq, I am not talking about there. But should we have running bases every nation? Why when we could use them more on homeland security here and save a bit. What about just giving money to every third wold country on the planet? Why should we pay for every one elses mistakes? It is not my fault that people in Africa cannot control their problems, or India or where ever. Finally how much money do we waste on the wellfare system here at home? Nice work. I like how it brings the true color Red out of birdsnake and chainsaw. They are the type that ran to Canada and pointed a finger at those of us that did go to war. I'm a liberal Constitutional Preservationist, and enlisted in the all volunteer USMC. Was on 26 counter insurgent operations with 2-4 at the DMZ and saw a bigger body count than this whole 6 year long Bush against the US Treasury War has produced. I know what a draft dodging coward is, and I know the lying snot nosed spawn of those traitors when I hear them. Amazing how impudent and braggadocios people that are clueless and never went to war can be.
